Michael I can cover these items:
HEADSTOCK OVERLAY--(ebony or rosewood--tbd)
BACK CENTER STRIP INLAY
BACK PURFLING--likely just two b/w strips

I'll get the rest if someone tells me who to paypal the money to. I'm very supportive of this effort; I just have no talent...

You know, that Zootman has some great wood, but does he have a really nice, bookmatched peghead overlay of Brazilian Rosewood? I think NOT! I will be more than happy to provide the peghead overlay for this from my private stash of BRW.

Don, since I'm doing the neck why don't just send me a dozen or so and I'll see which one will work the best.

I'm in a little late here but I’d be more than willing to make up some fret board markers if need be, to go with Lance’s dots. I could install them too.

I'm doing the board so I can install small paua dots no problem.

How special is that?
At least let me do some cool fret markers..

Maybe relating to the theme, or symbols?
Thoughts?
It needs to be unique to build value

I could inlay a motif of me breakdancing. now that would be "special"
...And I mean that in a mentally challenged way... which I am

Hey guys. One thing we should also consider is getting donations to cover shipping. As this thing cris-crosses the country from builder to builder, it will rack up some serious shipping expense.

I can pitch in a nice set of bridge pins and a matching end pin.

Materials can be decided upon after the overall aesthetics have been chosen. (I have lots).

Is there any real spec sheet on this thing yet? I'd like to take a look at it...
Just to make sure that things don't clash...not that I'm the only one that
could do that, but just want to make sure it does not happen as there are
so many parts coming from other places....

AS for the side dots and fret markers.. if the binding is dark then pearl
side makers are cool (I personally like the smaller side dots.. .062) and
the pearl ones are 3/32 which look big to me, but it don't matter.. if the
binding is dark then pearl or white dots will be groovy, and if it is light
binding like maple maybe black MOP or just black dots would be cool...

Just some thoughts... where are the specs?

I might suggest that we go with the SJ plans that OLF has put together. John Hall is building the bending forms and the body molds. That might make it more uniquely a product of the folks at OLF.
